France were unable to give their home fans a positive send off ahead of Euro 2024 as Didier Deschamps' side were held to a 0-0 draw by Canada in their final warm-up match on Sunday.
The world champions, who begin their Euro 2024 campaign against Germany on June 15, were left frustrated despite fielding a strong starting XI that included Kylian Mbappé, Antoine Griezmann and Karim Benzema.
Mbappé had the best chance to break the deadlock in the first half when he was awarded a penalty after being brought down in the area by Canadian defender Steven Vitória. However, the Paris Saint-Germain forward saw his spot-kick saved by Milan Borjan.
France continued to press for a winning goal in the second half, but they were unable to find a way past a resolute Canadian defence.
The result leaves Deschamps with some concerns ahead of Euro 2024. France have now failed to win their last three matches, and they have only scored one goal in their last four outings.
However, Deschamps will be hoping that his team can rediscover their form when they begin their Euro 2024 campaign next month.
